Amira Jabbar, LCSW, ACT, IGCB, is a dedicated and heart-centered clinician who blends compassion, insight, and evidence-based practice to guide individuals toward healing and self-discovery. Often described as a true dreamer, advocate, and reformer, Amira brings a spirit of warmth, inclusivity, and open-mindedness to every session—creating a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, seen, and empowered.

Amira earned her Bachelor of Science from Morgan State University and continued her academic journey at Rutgers University, completing the Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program with a Clinical specialization. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in both her undergraduate and graduate studies—an achievement that reflects her deep commitment to academic and professional excellence.

Throughout her career, Amira has worked with individuals and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, across a wide range of practice settings. Her clinical experience spans from supporting children as young as two to adults navigating major life transitions. She specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma and abuse recovery, grief and bereavement, anger management, ASD-related challenges, and substance use disorders.

Drawing from a person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed framework, Amira integrates multiple modalities including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT/TF-CBT), Exposure Therapy, Psychodynamic and Dramatic Therapy, Family Therapy, and Mindfulness Practice. Her eclectic style allows her to tailor each session to meet the unique needs of every client, fostering internal empowerment and lasting growth.
